CONNTEK’s KTH3102-SS3 linear Hall sensor is designed for magnetic-field detection applications.

From industrial automation to consumer electronics, magnetic-field detection has become the cornerstone of intelligent, high-precision operation. CONNTEK answers this need with the KTH3102-SS3, a ratiometric linear Hall-effect sensor that discriminates both N and S poles while operating from a wide 3.0 V – 5.5 V supply. Current draw is only 4.5 mA at 3.3 V and 5.4 mA at 5 V, slashing system power and extending battery life in portable devices.

Sensitivity—vital for resolving faint field changes—scales with supply: 1.65 mV/Gs at 3.3 V and 2.50 mV/Gs at 5 V. A 30 kHz bandwidth ensures the output keeps pace with rapid flux variations, eliminating lag-induced errors and preserving real-time accuracy.

The device delivers an analog output centered at VDD/2. In the absence of a field it rests at mid-rail; an applied flux drives the voltage linearly above or below this baseline, with S poles increasing the level and N poles decreasing it—enabling instantaneous polarity recognition.

Housed in a 3-pin SOT-23 package, the KTH3102-SS3 occupies minimal board area and adds almost no weight, simplifying integration into space-constrained designs.

Target applications span current sensing (via conductor field mapping), closed-loop motor control, robotic joint positioning, liquid-level gauges, vibration transducers, weight sensors, proximity switches and rotary encoders—anywhere a miniature, low-power sensor must deliver fast, polarity-aware magnetic measurement.
