W29N01GW memory is an ideal choice for embedded systems

Winbond's W29N01GW is a 1Gbit capacity SLC NAND Flash memory with 128M x 8bit data storage capability, supporting a working voltage range from 2.7V to 3.6V and an 8-bit data bus width. It includes 1024 erase blocks, with each block containing 64 pages, and each page allocated with 2112 bytes, divided into a 2048-byte data area and a 64-byte spare area. The memory has a random read time of 25 microseconds, a sequential read cycle of 25 nanoseconds, a page programming time of 250 microseconds, a block erase time of 2 milliseconds, a durability of up to 100,000 program/erase cycles, and a data retention period of up to 10 years.

The W29N01GW's advantage lies in its SLC technology, ensuring high data integrity and reliability. It supports a variety of operation commands, including sequential cache read, random cache read, cache program, and rewrite, to enhance data management capabilities. Additionally, the memory's low-power design results in a typical current consumption of 25mA during read/program/erase states and only 10uA in standby mode, making it highly suitable for battery-powered devices. It also offers multiple packaging options, including 48-pin standard TSOP1 and 48-ball VFBGA packages, providing design flexibility.
